Leila

Hi, I'm Leila, founder of Dermoda Studio & Training. I opened Dermoda in Highbridge in 2025 to build the kind of studio I always wished existed — one where the art is taken seriously and so is the person sitting in the chair. I still work the floor myself, because that's the part I love. I specialise in portraits and fine-line realism, and I'll happily take on anything from a small first piece to a full custom design. Nervous clients are always welcome; I'd rather take my time and get it right than rush anyone. Alongside client work, I train the artists coming up behind me through Dermoda's apprenticeships and courses. Watching someone build their own following from scratch never gets old. Whether you've got an idea half-formed or fully planned, I'd love to hear it.

Hey, I'm Dee — the girly behind Safiya Ink 🖤🌙✨ Coventry born, Somerset based, mum of four and permanently obsessed with all things creative, weird and wonderful. Hi, I'm Clive. I began my tattooing journey in 2025 to pursue my creative passion, and have trained tirelessly under some amazing artists! Tattooing part-time allows me to focus entirely on giving every client a relaxed, friendly, and professional experience from start to finish. I specialise in bold blackwork inspired by antique woodcuts and vintage engraving techniques, using crisp linework and high contrast to create timeless, print-style designs. I'm Megan a tattoo artist, piercer, and laser and hair removal practitioner with a genuine passion for creativity and helping people feel confident in themselves. Art has always been a huge part of my life. I've stuck with it since school, developing my skills over the years and turning something I've always loved into a career I'm proud of. I genuinely love what I do and always aim to make every client feel comfortable, respected and listened to while providing a professional and welcoming experience. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, and spending time around wildlife and nature. Creativity is a big part of who I am, both professionally and personally, and I'm excited to keep building my career doing something I truly enjoy.

Hi, I'm Liz — the face behind Lasting Lines by Liz. I've always believed tattoos are more than just ink; they're little pieces of someone's story that they get to carry for life. Whether it's something deeply meaningful or simply a design you absolutely love, I love being part of that journey. I'm an apprentice tattoo artist with a passion for bold, beautiful work, and I'm also a certified body piercer and laser technician. My style leans towards ornamental, neo-traditional, and elegant custom pieces, but my favourite projects are the ones we create together. When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me at home with my beautiful daughter, sketching new ideas, or talking far too enthusiastically about dinosaurs, documentaries, and fantasy film and art. I love working at Dermoda and within such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that is full of laughs—because getting tattooed should be an experience you enjoy, not just an appointment. I can't wait to help bring your next idea to life.

You bring the idea — a photo, a scribble on a receipt, a feeling you can't quite describe — and we draw it for you. Free consultation, no obligation, and we won't take a deposit until you've seen the design and you're happy with it.

Cover-ups & rework

A name you regret, a holiday tattoo that didn't age well, or someone else's unfinished piece. Bring it in and we'll tell you honestly what can be done with it — and what can't. Some things want laser fading first, and we can do that here too.

Fine line & first tattoos

If it's your first, say so. We'll walk you through the whole thing — how it feels, how long it takes, what happens afterwards — before a needle goes anywhere near you.

Longer pieces are quoted individually — get in touch and we'll talk you through the price, the number of sittings and the deposit before anything is booked in. Every quote is honest and up front. We'll tell you the likely total when you enquire, and if it needs multiple sittings we'll say so rather than surprising you halfway through.

Piercings

Most piercings are walk-in and take under fifteen minutes. Every piercing is a fixed price with the jewellery included.

That jewellery is implant-grade titanium as standard, not the cheap surgical steel half the high street uses. It's a big part of why piercings reject, weep or refuse to settle, and it's not somewhere worth saving a few pounds.

We use single-use, sterile needles. Never a piercing gun. Guns can't be properly sterilised and they cause blunt-force trauma to the tissue — a needle is faster to heal and considerably kinder.

AGE POLICY

Age & consent

Tattoos: 18+, no exceptions. It is a criminal offence under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 to tattoo anyone under 18 in the UK — parental consent makes no difference. We will always ask for photo ID (passport or driving licence) and we won't be talked round on this. Please don't ask.

Piercings:

16 and over: you can be pierced with your own consent, with photo ID.
Under 16: a parent or legal guardian must attend the appointment, bring their own ID, and sign the consent form.
We reserve the right to refuse any piercing if we don't think it's right for the person, the anatomy, or the placement. That's not us being difficult — it's us not wanting to take your money for something that won't heal.

AFTERCARE

Aftercare

Half of how a tattoo or piercing turns out is what happens after you leave. Everyone goes home with a printed aftercare leaflet written by the same people who teach aftercare on our courses — clear instructions, day by day, in plain English.

We also stock everything you'll need to follow it, over the counter in the studio:
